Iqbal Day is important because it commemorates a major contributor to the Two Nations Movement Chaudhry Rahmat Ali. Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal's advocacy of this ideology was one of the main reasons for the development of Pakistan's emergence into a reality.

Iqbal Day 2022 is a Holiday

Since 2018, the Pakistani Ministry of Interior has dismissed Iqbal Day as a public holiday. Today is now a normal working day as most businesses, stores and shops as well as schools, universities and government offices remain open.

The day is celebrated with special invitations for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. People were showing their respect by visiting the tomb of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
